WHAT CAN WE OFFER? |
| OE Enterprises provides a variety of services to meet your individualized
needs. |
| Through vocational evaluation you will learn about your job strengths,
needs and interests. Your evaluation will be based on a plan developed by you, a representative
of the referring agency and your team leader at OE. Ways we help you learn may include observation
of your work habits and work skills at OE or at a community work site, talking with you, aptitude
and interest inventories, job site visits and job shadowing. When you finish the evaluation you will
have ideas for work options and employment goals.
|
Our organizational employment service
(ADVP / CAP / Work Adjustment) provides training at an OE facility as well as in the community.
One way we provide training in our facility is by using work. When you
perform real work you will receive training incentive pay.
A plan will be written for your training by you, your team leader, and others you may want to
be involved. The plan will help you work towards living and working as
independently as possible. Training may be in the areas of improving work habits and work skills,
self help, social skills, communication, self determination or being more involved in your community.
|
| Day support services (CAP/MR-DD) may take place in our facility.
This services will help you increase independence by improving your
self-help, socialization or adaptive skills. Day support services help with prevocational skills
like increasing attention span, improving attendance or completing tasks.
|
| In the employee development service (Work Adjustment) we help you
learn how to get and keep a job. You will have an individual plan written by you, someone from
the agency who sponsors your service and your OE team leader. The goal of employment development
service is to get a job that is a good match for you. This program may include working in our
facility in order to gain work experience and improve work habits, or may take place totally in
the community. We offer assistance in completing a resume, completing applications, locating jobs
that match your strengths and interests and improving interview skills. |
During job development OE will help you find a job. You will have
an individual plan that you write along with the sponsoring agency and your OE team leader. Job
development activities may include learning what jobs are open in your community, visiting different
job sites, completing applications, practicing interview skills and going to interviews. |
Job site training will help you learn your new job, make
improvements or learn new skills on a job. Your job coach may help you with arranging transportation
to work, make modifications or changes on the job so you can do your work, help you learn your job
tasks or to learn the work rules and culture or to help with other concerns you or your supervisor
may have about your work. The job coach may also meet with you at a place away from your job to help
you with work related issues. |
In job retention our staff will meet with you on the job site
(unless you prefer a different location) at least twice per month, and makes at least one contact
with your employer per month. On these visits staff will provide support and encouragement, assesses
the job stability, and offers assistance as needed, including modifications/accommodations. They
may help you with issues outside of work directly or by referrals to other agencies if necessary.
Staff can help you to communicate with your supervisor as needed, including asking for additional
duties, another position within the company or a raise. |
